Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to use my email address to sign up?
Yes, it’s a private community, so you’ll need to register with an email address. However, your email address will remain private from other community members (they won’t see it), and you can use a username in place of your real name if you prefer.
Is the community actually free?
Yes. After considering all the options, we decided to make the community free so money wasn’t a barrier to joining. As a trade off, we’re currently looking for brands to sponsor our community, and you may see some ads/affiliate links over time. These help cover the costs of running the community.
Why did you build the community on a platform rather than using a Facebook/Discord/Reddit group?
There are some amazing Discord/Facebook/Reddit groups out there. But we wanted to do something a little different. Our community (built with Circle.so) offers a variety of different spaces — from forums, to resources, to community product reviews, and more — all organized in a user-friendly way. Plus, there’s a mobile app for it, so you can access it from your phone, just like you can with your other groups.
