About Sweaty Girl Society

Sweaty Girl Society is on a mission to help women with hyperhidrosis everywhere feel less alone. We do this by connecting women to information, inspiration, and most importantly to one another.

About Sweaty Girl Society

Why We Exist

Living with hyperhidrosis is tough. Excessive sweating is uncomfortable, isolating, and many people with hyperhidrosis feel deeply alone.

Despite affecting 385 million people worldwide, hyperhidrosis still is very much a “hidden” condition.

Sweaty Girl Society is here to help change that. Our goal is to touch the lives of 1 million women — promoting a sense of hope, connection, and community — and helping women with HH go from surviving to thriving.

How We Began

Sweaty Girl Society was founded in 2024 by Karina Ramsundar, a Canadian entrepreneur, wife, and mom, who has been living with primary hyperhidrosis since childhood. What started as an Instagram account, quickly gained traction.

Today, there are many ways you can get involved with Sweaty Girl Society:

Karina's Hyperhidrosis Story

My earliest memory of hyperhidrosis dates back to age 10. I was at a sleepover and my hands wouldn’t stop sweating. I remember feeling confused and worried — and I hoped my friends wouldn’t notice.

It took me 10 years to get a diagnosis. I still remember feeling ashamed talking to my doctor about it.

For the next 2 decades, I tried to hide my excessive sweating. As I established my career, and became a wife and mom, I tried to find ways of coping with the constant discomfort and frustration of my hyperhidrosis.

Then, when I turned 40, something in me shifted. It was time to break my silence, heal my relationship with my body, and find my people. With that, Sweaty Girl Society was born.
